By the time you read this we will be into 2012 and I hope all those that attended the YF New Years Eve Party had a great time and saw the New Year in with a bangl December was a busy month with preparation for the Panto and then the 4 performances, which all went extremely well.

Happy New Year from Wix Young Farmers!
We’ve had a very busy month with loads to do and not much time to fit it all in! On 8th December we had a Guide Dog talk with Elaine Cole who also brought a guest; a 6 month old puppy! She gave us an informative talk about how guide dogs are trained from puppies, how much they help people to live normal lives and we all really enjoyed the talk.

Christmas it seems now just wouldn’t be Christmas without YFC throwing an incredible panto, and Jack and the Beanstalk certainly proved to be another huge success!
As ever the ball started rolling back in September with auditions and rehearsals and a whole host of new faces. It was great to see so many members getting involved who had not taken part in previous years, and there was representation from a lot of the clubs which was really encouraging to see! The talent Essex Young Farmers’ has to offer is quite remarkable, and it wasn’t difficult for all the characters to settle in to their roles… Mikey Hull was very keen to hop into a dress as our magnificent dame! Our very own diva/thespian Ed Ford even managed to reprise his role as a farm animal, taking up position as the back-end of the cow!
